lyrics

Daydream in the Snow

He said he never thought he'd see the sun again
that every day he saw would dwindle into rain
and everyone he knew would leave the minute he arrived

He said he heard a voice that called him from afar
that no one even knew what distant voices are
and only he could see the dark of night before it came

He said I'd never understand these little things
I'd never the know the sorrow winter brought into his mind
all the dreams he had before the sadness held him so

And now I'm standing watching as he turns away
I can't think how I'll make it through another day
how all I've ever learnt seems like
a daydream in the snow
as he goes
